The latest ICC Test rankings showcase significant movement, reflecting recent performances in both Test and T20I cricket. Rishabh Pant and Jasprit Bumrah: Key players in the latest ICC Test rankings.
Rishabh Pant has surged to seventh place in the ICC Test batting rankings following his remarkable twin centuries at Headingley. His scores of 134 and 118 made him only the second wicketkeeper in Test history, after Zimbabwe’s Andy Flower in 2001, to achieve centuries in both innings of a match. Notably, Pant is the first Indian wicket-keeper batter to surpass 800 rating points in Test history.
Joe Root remains the top-ranked Test batter globally, with his English teammate Harry Brook closely following in second place. India’s Shubman Gill has also climbed five places to 20th after scoring a century in the first innings.
India's pace spearhead, Jasprit Bumrah, retains his position as the world’s No. 1 Test bowler after another five-wicket haul at Headingley, reaffirming his dominance in red-ball cricket. England’s Ben Stokes, with contributions from both batting and bowling, has risen three places to secure the No. 5 spot in the Test all-rounder rankings – his highest in recent months.

Dutch batter Michael Levitt jumped 16 places to 14th after a series of consistent performances. Scotland’s Brandon McMullen also made an impression, climbing 20 spots to joint 38th.
The ICC rankings continue to be a key indicator of individual performance, with every run and wicket impacting the evolving hierarchy of cricket.
